مرساة ذهنية

عادة متكررة: simple. مشهد جارٍ أو وضع مؤقت: continuous.

Present simple

Use it for habits, routines, facts and schedules. Example: The lab opens at eight. With he, she or it, add -s or -es to the main verb.

Present continuous

Use am/is/are + verb-ing for actions happening now, temporary situations and arranged near-future plans. Example: We are meeting the team tomorrow.

State verbs

Verbs such as know, believe, need and belong usually describe states and normally do not take the continuous form. The meaning decides: I think means opinion, while I am thinking means considering.

التباسات يجب تجنبها

• اختيار الزمن من كلمة now وحدها من دون قراءة المعنى.
• استخدام -ing مع كل فعل حالة.
