الحدث الطويل خلفية، والحدث القصير نقطة تغيّر.

Past simple

Use the past form for a completed action at a finished time: She sent the report yesterday. Irregular verbs must be learned in context.

Past continuous

Use was/were + verb-ing for an action in progress at a past moment: They were discussing the plan at noon.

When and while

While often introduces the longer background action; when often introduces the shorter event. Meaning is more important than the connector itself.

التباسات يجب تجنبها

• كتابة الفعل الماضي بعد did.
• اعتبار while دليلًا آليًا على المستمر في كل جملة.
