Present perfect

Use have/has + past participle for experience, unfinished time and a past action with a present result. Do not combine it with a finished time such as yesterday.

Past perfect

Use had + past participle for the earlier of two relevant past actions: The meeting had started before we arrived.

Comparatives

Short adjectives usually take -er/-est; longer adjectives use more/most. Irregular forms include good, better, best. Use than after a comparative, not after a superlative.
